Wednesday, September 21 - Optional Activities

Skeet/Sport Clay Shooting

The Homestead Shooting Club
7696 Sam Snead Highway
Hot Springs, VA 24445

With a history dating back to 1933, our historic gun club hosted the first-ever U.S. Open Sporting Clays Championship in 1992. Certified N.S.C.A shooting instructors are ready to enhance your experience at the resort by providing guidance along our world famous sporting clays courses. Take an adventure through almost a mile of wooded courses that simulate many types of game birds and rabbits. Best of all, we will outfit you with guns, ammo, targets and vests as well as eye and ear protection for your safety and comfort. All firearms must be unloaded and cased during transportation to and from the shooting club and inside the Resort.

IF YOU HAVE NEVER USED A SHOTGUN BEFORE OR ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH THE PROCESS, IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU TAKE A GROUP LESSON.  AFTER A LESSON, YOU CAN THEN SHOOT SPORTING CLAYS IF DESIRED FOR THE ADDITIONAL FEE EXPLAINED BELOW.

All shooting events will take place on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at the Homestead Shooting Club. Please arrive 15-30 minutes ahead of scheduled activity in order to get outfitted with all necessary equipment.
